In February 2019, Japan banned the production and sales of mobile power that did not meet the requirements of Japanese PSE Regulation J62133.
The Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) announced on February 1, 2018, part of the revision of the provincial interpretation of the technical reference for electrical appliances, and revised the interpretation of the scope of electrical appliances (Heisei 24?03?21 Commercial Bureau No. 1) "Cleanly regulate the future portable lithium-ion battery (mobile power) as the object of control of the Electrical Appliances Safety Law, and will be handled in accordance with the Electrical Safety Law.
When the product is imported into Japan, it must meet the requirements of the Japanese PSE regulations and be marked with a round PSE on the products that meet the requirements.
Amendment/Execution: February 1, 2018
Transition period: January 31, 2019
From February 1, 2019, it will not be allowed to produce, import or sell any mobile power that does not meet the requirements of Japanese PSE regulations.
